Personally, I think the AD at Arkansas totally fumbled his opportunity with Billy G. When a coach says he is not interested in talking to other schools until he talks to his own school first about a raise and a contract extension, give him the fucking respect and wait until he does just that. What does ol' ancient Frank Broyles from Arkansas do? Not only does he continue to bug Gillespie and our AD, Bill Byrnes, but he gives Gillespie a fucking ultimatum sayin he "demands" an answer by this past Wednesday or else forget about it... this is before Gillespie even had a chance to come to a conclusion with A&M. Fucking moron! You don't give one of the best coaches in college hoops an ultimatum!!!!! What does that say about how you'll treat him if and when he started working at Arkansas!! Anyhow, I didn't have a doubt in my mind that Billy wanted to stay at A&M. Now we can start to define our legacy in college hoops!


I have no doubt that Kentucky won't have a problem getting a great coach, but I tihnk Arkansas is fucked. Time for ol' Frank Broyles to pack up his shit and retire already.

I can't believe he just signed an extension about a week ago and now today they are going to annouce him as the new head coach of Kentucky.

we got turgeon at least... he may not be as good as gillespie or maybe he is, but at least he has brought a team out of a non-power conference to the sweet 16 which says a lot about a coach... so i guess things could be worse. we got a good AD in bill byrne at A&M. i credit him on the good job on replacing a hard-to-replace coach in a very timely fashion.
