Ibiza 2007 - Sasha returns to Amnesia

Now that the WMC is over our thoughts turn to the Mecca of Dance Music - that little white isle that has had so much influence on the music we listen to.

So I've started a thread in the "Europe" nights. Remember, the earlier you book your flight, the cheaper it is !

The night that stands out so far is Sasha returning to Amnesia (scene of his 1997 Essential Mix) for "Made In Italy" Friday 6th July. This is a real turn up for the books as he can't have played there since, after diverting his attention to Space (inspiration for his GU Ibiza release and 2005 Fundacion nights), Privilege (Radio 1 - 2002 Essential Mix) and Pacha (the resumation of relations with Renaissance in 2003, 2004 and 2006).

Yes, two:
- Sasha can't mix
- Ibiza is so (apart from Pacha, DC10 and Caf? del Mar)

I'll be at Pacha, Space and DC10 for the opening parties the weekend of the 1st June. Digweed, Lawler & Cox at Space. Bring it on.

KinkyJ - I thought Ableton pretty much did the mixing these days anyway ... Cafe Del Mar ?? now there is a tourist trap, and they have no decent DJ's after they all left. Regardless, Ibiza is still special - ask the Dj's (although I do quite fancy Punto Del Este, if the DJ lines ups were like they were 5-years ago).

I'll be in Ibiza this August for 9 days... I hope I can see him there. When that man is "ON" not even John can come close to what he can do. HOWEVER ever since he's been mixing with a computer... well most of us have experineced the difference. Either way I wouldn't trade being in Ibiza for any WMC.

Sasha played @ Amnesia at least twice in 1998. Once for Cream in the begining of August with Lee Burrigde and Craig Richards, with Steve Lawler on the terrace. I was at that gig. And a few weeks later for MTV. The Essential Mix was 1996
