Tragic indeed. War never holds a smile on its face. But darkmark, you see, your comment is indicative of the democratic strategy to combat terrorism, it eludes to another kerryism. And that is an attitude that terrorism is breaking the law, and when a crime is committed you find the person and bring them to justice. The Bush Administration has been very clear in adopting an offensive attitude and treating the battle of terror as a war and not just as police enforcement. Dont be naive darkmark, terrorists dont need to be encouraged to kill, they dont need another reason to create acts of barbarians. The war in Iraq did not create terrorists, and neither did this event, remember that.

With all due respect neur0t0xin64, the Iraq invasion is a failure. The casualties have gotten worse by the month. Saddam was effectively contained and the kurds in the north were basically free. Now, the country is slipping into civil war. And why not take the battle to where the terrorists are? Mainly Saudi Arabia and Afgan?

Unfortunately, this TV reporter won't be the last. Sad.
Iraq is a dangerous place, I gues s that's why they reallocated the funds.

Not saying it was good for him to die BUT I'm sure the guy made a relatively good living and was aware of the risks involved.

There many jobs out there but you can make more $ if you willing to take more risks, in this case it didn't payoff.
