They not spinnin?: ads on taxi cab hubcaps
They (you know who we?re talking about) have managed to find another place to put advertising: on the hubcaps of the taxi cabs. Not sure how you calculate a CPM for something that?ll you?d think would spend most of its time spinning so fast no one?ll be able to tell what it is you?re trying to shill, but the covers are supposedly mounted in way that they?ll remain still while driving. Either way, Virgin Cola and Taco Bell have already had their messages affixed to hubcaps on taxis in LA, and Ad Fleet, the company that started the program, is also talking to New York City?s Taxi and Limousine Commission about adding them to cabs here. Oh, and they?re also planning bigger hubcap covers that?ll fit on city buses, so there really won?t be any escape.

but off topic only slightly, whats the deal with tampon commercials? they always seem to come on right when your dinner is ready to eat. oh, and i thinnk that women KNOW they need these things anyway, is there really a need to advertise it so much?

Well the hubcaps is pretty lame but its only the beginning. We are soon to be completely and utterly ingulfed in ads.... We've seen shows that market products and artists, movies that market products... it goes on and on. Blah.

Anyway one really cool technology that is in development is interactive ads a la minority report.

lol, tampon adds. Those should be taken off of the air. Imagine how girls feel when they are sitting next to a guy that they like, and a tampon commercial comes on? It's no fun at all!!

you know what ad surprised me, and is solid as fuk?

Hardees new Fat Burger ad with the girl riding the mechanical bull in low cut jeans and a tank eating a big, juicy, fat, burger.

that makes me hungry every time, and i don't even like Hardees.
