yeah. im done. wrapping up tax season and loose ends, and im gone. will still do some accounting for them part time, but im no longer working as a full time accountant. i will still do returns next year, and i'll be helping the firm, but im broken.

bye bye. kinda sad though. i guess it will hit me next week.

yup..... its weird. i have worked at this firm since i was 17, and i have been doing tax returns since im 19. its all i have known for the last decade of my life. but i just can t do this any more. i need more of a life outside this office. i work like i own the place, but i dont.

im leaving for a position at franklin first finanacial, but also, i am interviewing a job for UBS in the controllers office.

^^^ yeah in the news headline with you in the focus and a rusty axe and a dead rap fan are involved as well. Good luck for your next job though. I just switched to a different department in my company because I was tired of doing the same things since almost eight years now...sometimes it is just time for a change or you loose yourself in your work and start hating it.

well, at my new job, there are a lot more young people. here, now, im the youngest by far, and all of our secretaries are older. new place is also closer to where i plan on moving to this summer. and im already freindly with the owners there, as they have been clients of mine for years.

dood get into finance. investment banking is where the cheddah is at. either that, or hedge accounting. i could list half a dozen places here that are looking for people with hedge accounting experience. fantastic money in that as well...
