        Re: Jeff Weaver

        Back on point:

Jeff Weaver still has his spot in the Mariners pitching rotation, but barely.

Seattle manager Mike Hargrove yanked him after just three innings Sunday. Weaver threw 68 pitches and allowed seven hits and three runs in that span, actually lowering his season earned-run average from 15.75 to 13.91.

7 hits and 3 runs in 3 innings and his ERA went down? That is really telling.

At the risk of piling on, here's an update:

Weaver is now 0-6 with a mind-boggling 14.32 earned-run average. How could a postseason hero fall so hard so fast? This has been an implosion of historic proportions.

              Re: Jeff Weaver

As an LA baseball fan, I was happy to see him leave the Dodgers AND the Angels. His brother Jared rocks the mound much better. Or at least he did last season.

I was equally excited to see him on the Yankees because I knew he would probably choke and cost the Yanks a few games
