Re: The best form of Fan / Player interaction
You know what Nigel your 100% right!!.
These friggin players these days no nothing about fan abuse. Damn shame Jackie Robinson isn't alive today to tell these overpaid hotheads what it was like to play ball and have Racist comments spewed at you from your own fans.
I would suspend with no pay / play for the rest of the season going into next season.Comment

you got thAT right, you should take a look at thier CBA. they actually bypass federal law through thier contracts. these fuckers have it too easy.
however, they are currently being made to look like great compared to the dipshits on the NY giants . those clowns are true crybabies. just think 6-10your life is an occasion, rise to it.

What was he thinking?!?!?! Hurtling a chair at random people in the crowd, the pitcher probably missed his intended victim and hit innocent bystanders.
Come on stupid, using a chair, you're a pitcher for crying out loud, show some skill that you've got an accurate arm, use a baseball nail him in the head or if that fan is standing up spewing that shit at you, nail him in the crotch with the baseballComment

Which ball park is it when on two seperate occasions a fan rushed the field and attacked somebody? IIRC the first time is was a coach, the next time it was an umpire. Some people need to learn how to relax.Beats are my crack.Comment

Re: The best form of Fan / Player interaction
will be interesting if it is ever known what the 'fans' said to the players that set them off. texas has had several documented problems the last few season with unruly fans in oakland. last year, carl everett had a cell phone thrown at him while playing in the outfield.
Im not advocating in anyway tossing a chair at someone, but as they say, it takes two...Comment

i wouldnt throw him out of baseball.
however i would suspend him for the rest of this season, and possibly some of next season.
fine him at least $100,000.00
make him do a formal apology to the woman injured as well as compensate her for her doctors fees and medications.
this is unacceptable behavior by any sports athlete.
that fan must have said some harsh shit to make the player reach the boiling point like he did.Comment
