Just because Bill Gates is rich doesn't mean he is an authority on economics.

He made it big with a technology company. He's a good business person, for sure. But does that make him an economist? Hardly.

you dont need to be a producer to know about music right?, so in the same way you dont need to be an economist to know about economics. i can asure you hes not going to say that just because he thinks so, besides im pretty sure he has a good economics team on microsoft, he knows everything he says in public will affect the market, so he wouldnt talk about something hes guessing about.

In America, most employment in the private sector is "at will". That means that you can walk any time you want and they can make you leave whenever they want. They can't make you leave for discriminatory reasons (race/sex/orientation/etc.), but they can totally make you leave for financial reasons. And they routinely do - that's why all those American manufacturing jobs are overseas now. And if you're a Mexican immigrant who got canned, the burden will be upon you to prove that the company fired you because you're a Mexican.

American families often are net tax payers during working age and net tax takers (benefits exceeding taxes) during retirement. This is not the case for low-skill immigrant households; in these households benefits substantially exceed taxes at every age level. Consequently, low-skill immigrant households impose substantial long-term costs on the U.S. taxpayer. Assuming an average adult life span of 60 years for each head of household, the average lifetime costs to the taxpayer will be nearly $1.2 million for each low-skill household for immediate benefits received minus all taxes paid.
As noted, in 2004, there were 4.5 million low-skill immigrant households. With an average net fiscal deficit of $19,588 per household, the total annual fiscal deficit for all of these households together equaled $89.1 billion (the deficit of $19,588 per household times 4.54 million low-skill immigrant households). Over the next ten years, the net cost (benefits minus taxes) to the taxpayer of low-skill immigrant households will approach $1 trillion.
