Watch out, it's those sassy Iranian troops here to show who's boss of the courtyard! (*tsssssss*) Somebody...anybody...throw your hands in the air like you don't care and let me hear you shout "Jihad!"

All in all, I'd give them a decent score on this round. There were some low points in the performance, but the boys stuck together and got through it in the end. But I think they're going to have to raise their game if they want to be serious contenders in the military marching scene.

Footwork: Generally good footwork on the part of the soldiers. They step together, they have a jaunty swing, and a nice and sassy "in your face" attitude - they were definitely "workin' it"! Most importantly, they seem to be having fun with it! That's always so important in a military march like this.

Creativity / Choreography: I give them high marks for creativity; the big tough missiles were a nice touch, as was that cute little sword at the end. It was also really sweet when the boys all started singing together at the end, but I wish they had extenxed that creative choreography a bit further. Perhaps a dazzling flag corps, some nice pirouettes, or a trampoline act could have been very effective in that routine as well...they definitely sacrified at least several tenths of a point here.

Music: The music was a low point for me. I just wasn't feeling it...it drags on forever, no real passion in it. It just doesn't do justice to their pretty uniforms and fancy footwork, and I think it's going to be a big penalty in the judges' eyes. Just imagine the difference if they had started with that intro and "lulled" into thinking this was gonna be another snooze...and then - pow, tempo change! - the opening chords of "Footloose!" sound off as the first row of the Elite Republican Guard rips off their tear-away pants and start up a mean, saucy shuffle. Now THAT would've definitely made the grumpy Mr. I'm Too Big For My Turban really sit up and take notice!

All in all, they look like very nice boys having fun with each other out there. They just need to keep working at it!

      Footwork: 6.4/10.0
      Creatitity & Choreography: 7.2/10.0
      Music: 2.0/10.0
      Total: 5.2/10.0

Between this and your "free will" hypothosizing, you have WAY to much time on your hands. But I too would have loved to see the tear away pants.

Bah, I'll turn this into a symbollic allegory. We'll just call the US the baby and the cobra Iran. We'll use the time of the video as the timeline for the events to come in the following years.

I think it's really creepy how organized N. Korea looks. I think we'll be in for a surprise considering how they work their system. It'll only be time before N. Korea displays it's superiority.

but how come? from all we've got about North Korea, we've got from our own media (inclusive of european media). Could they have not perhaps perfected a better system from communism? While we sit here with complacent individuals who are more focused on becoming the next american idol or rap star, they are focused on creating a group of people who are bred for intelligence and physique. While we half ass our authority over children just to keep up with the jones', they're working on how to make their citizens more dominant than any other society.
