will this kill a tree too? I'm trying to kill poison ivy, and failed last year with weed killer. this time I'm thinking of going to go to total vegetation killer, and am wondering if I should be concerned about about killing a tree around it? since the roots supposedly go equally as deep as the tree is tall I should be fine, right?
Be carefull with total vegetation killer. Yes, the tree roots might go deep, but it has roots less deep too. Moreover, when you apply that type of herbicide and it rains the day after (or let's just say a limited time), it will penetrate deeper in the ground. And of course the herbicide will kill every plant it contaminates, leaving dead spots. I wouldn't risk it.
