From his early career at the Sub Club in Glasgow, through to his part in the live band on the tour for Mylo's 'Destroy Rock N Roll, Williams (aka William Threlfall) has been one of Scotland's best exports.
Having been a sound and light technician at Glasgow's The Tunnel, and disheartened by the commercial direction of his locality at the time, the early part of the new millennium saw Williams retreat to the Antipodes, only to return to Glasgow in 2002 and move in with his friend Myles Machines (who was later to become Mylo). From their flat, two albums emerged, Williams own 'Love Crisis' album. and the now legendary aforementioned Mylo album, which he engineered.
From the period 2003-2006, Williams toured as part of the Mylo live band, relocating to London and once again starting his own production work. First single 'Picadilly Circuits' was subsequently signed to Get Physical, with a further single on Tsuba followed by remixes for The Knife, Linus Love, Trabant and Ignition.
Returning to the source, Williams is now back in Scotland, running the successful Love Triangle Music imprint from which the John Digweed favourite 'The Shivering' (featured on Transitions: Volume One) was taken. In addition to a remix of Moby's 'In My Heart', two tracks on the upcoming '5 Years Of Get Physical' compilation, and a forthcoming single entitled 'Poltergeist' on his own label, Williams continues make a name for himself as one of the best producers of the moment, and a terrific DJ, as this latest guest mix for John Digweed's Transitions show will highlight.
