    why dosen't digweed produce anymore

i can kinda "assume" why he doesn't
but if anyone (it would save me some research) remembers any kind of interview they have come acroos, with this kind of question , maybe u could link it.. or even explain,
my thinking is, hes happy djing, touring, he does his kiss 100 sets, hes a busy guy, he doesn't have the time like he used to , to sit in a studio and create, its kinda easier for him to remix...
he built his name on producing, he sorts doesn't "need" to do that anymore,
but i wanted to know what his thoughts were
thanx so much in advance to anyone who can help
(forgive me if its been posted before)

He does??? Last song I remember him (or him and Nick) actually producing is...ummm...Beautiful Strange.

Maybe I've been out of the loop.

I think she means that we haven't seen any mix albums in a while... I was kinda curious myself.

Re: why dosen't digweed produce anymore

The Music remixes were his first since New Order, two years ago.

IMHO, I always thought he was one of those guys where the productions never quite reached the high standards of his DJing (see also Carl Cox). The club dub of 'Freedom Fighters' is the best thing I've ever heard him and Nick do. Maybe the wait was needed to push their sound forward.

                cheers, RH

They've done "Emerald" since "Beautiful Strange"...

Dont forget Nick and John worked on the Spiderman soundtrack last year as well... I suspect they haven't done more simply because John is so busy - between touring, doing a weekly radio show, running a label and organising 2 club nights, he's a busy, busy man... I'm sure he'd like to spend more time in the studio.

there was a track after emerald, I can't remember what it was called, sort of breaky, had a fretwell mix, heads blank though. And as major tom stated they have done all the spiderman stuff. I don't recon there will be a bedrock artist album though, but i could be wrong.

Yeah - forgot about "Forge" - though wasn't that an older track subsequently released on it's own w/ remixes?

I'm fairly sure John has said they'll never do a Bedrock artist album - they have neither the time nor the desire to produce an album - Bedrock is pretty much just a straight up dance floor singles moniker

if he doesnt have time then he should stay away from producing, quality over quantity and all that

heard these already. Even though the mixing is great, the track kinda sucks. I WANT MY MMII!

Of course hes been producing. Him and Muir are constantly working on bits and pieces.. but obviously with the way trends and sounds change they want to be sure the next single is a killer.. Nick Muir hinted at such in his recent interview on Progressive-Sounds.
