So Moore went to Cuba for his latest documentary, something Sen. Fred Thompson suffering from a Cuban embargo trauma whatever didn't find very funny. But Moore counters by saying: "Hey dude far out, like you smoke them Cuban zigarz duntcha?"

yeah, that guy needed to stick with acting...but for most of his roles, he was always an asshole anyway. Pretty much just like in real life...

Isn't it funny how the Right bitches and moans every time an "actor", a Hollywood liberal, tries their hand at politics ("Stick to acting!", "What do they know about politics?", etc) yet they embrace people like Fred Thompson, Ronald Reagan, and Hannity's butt buddy James Woods?

I actually think that Thompson's retort was rather lame. Not that I'm a full supporter of Moore and his efforts but it should be noted that Thompson was referring to Nicolas Guillen, Jr. who was a resident of Cuba and made a documentary depicting a scene with Castro accompanied by some rather unflattering music. Moore's trip was as an American taking ailing 9/11 rescue workers to Cuba for treatment that the American health care industry refuses to provide for them. I don't see the correlation and I'm sure that the right doesn't either since there's not a snowball's chance in hell that Thompson will win the Republican primary.
