Re: Mr. Digweed - there's a new sheriff in town....
I like Nick Warren.....I have been waiting to check out this CD. It will be interesting to see where my opinion falls as it seems it is pretty varied so far
sigpic RIP Steve "Jibs" James - Your footprint is forever on my soul and in my heart xoxo RIP Jeff Shewchuk aka DJ Jeff Taylor (day_for_night) - You will live on in my heart forever xoxo
Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.
Re: Mr. Digweed - there's a new sheriff in town....
I really enjoyed Warren's previous 2 efforts. Paris felt like he was trying to capitalize on them and fell short.

Oh. My. God. James absolutely obliterated the island tonight. The last time there was so much destruction, Obi Wan Kenobi had to take a seat on the Falcon after the Death Star said "hi and bye" to Leia's homeworld.
I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

But it's the 'bland' tracks that make the killer ones hit home even harder. You can't just make a set up of massive tune after massive tune. And the whole art of building a set is designed for the club. Also there are very few truly 'bland' tracks in any decent sets IMO

PLEASE dont..!!
And I really disagree with this whole use of the term 'bland' to describe warm up/set building tunes. I happen to love these sort of tunes more than 'big' tunes and just because a tune is not nailing and has a huge breakdown does not mean that it is bland at all.. Anyone can stick on anthem after anthem (look at Tiesto ), it takes a truly skilled dj to tease the crowd by varying the tempo and feel about the tunes and subteley build the set in order to really make the big tunes have an impact..

Re: Mr. Digweed - there's a new sheriff in town....
warren = producer
digweed = dj
i still haven't heard the new GU, but i'll give anything a chance. i hope this is a great cd. i really enjoyed a couple of his older GUs. still listen to amsterdam quite frequently.
Should I fuck you at that not until the ass, inject then tremendously hard bumschen and to the termination in the eyes yes?
Re: Mr. Digweed - there's a new sheriff in town....
I think Warren has been somehow underestimated by many. The guy has a great taste for music, both down and uptempo, and has decent DJ skills. Diggers offers something else, although I?m not that much into his recent work.

His name is Nick Warren - yep that's right. Well not so new, but you get the point. Just got Gu 30 Paris and man, it is amazing. Mr. Digweed, please go back to melodic prog. Please abandon the bleepy minimalist techno crap you've been spinning lately. Please make a two disc set like Mr. Warren with a downtemp disc 1 as great as cd1 of Paris. Please show us you're still number 1. Mr. Warren needs some competition in the category of tune selection and smooth flow. It's lonely at the top. Reykjavik, Shanghai, Paris - the trifecta.
Your move Mr. Digweed.....
discuss......
Whatever, I've seen Nick Warren trainwreck with the best of them.
Diggers in the club is untouchable. Tell Nick to get Ableton

All in all...I think I will be going back there some time soon

Let me get this straight.
So white-middle class Americans have been told by their Television sets to be fearful of:
1. Mexicans/Latinos from the South bringing drugs and killings n' shit.
2. African Americans cause mos def they are raging a race war and want to occupy America like how the plebs occupied Wall St.
3. Iranians/Afghans/Any one of middle eastern origin to be quite frank, cause you know Islam...
4. North Koreans/Chinese cause you know everything...
