merge the forums, have a sticky at the top called members mixes, people post links to their thread in the sticky. edit the sticky weekly or something so it's only current links

keep the forums split, i dont check the p+r forum 10x a day like alot of people and if i leave it for 3-4 days i come back with 6 new pages of posts to scan through. i dont even look really at anything which doesnt match names i already know and want to download in the first place.
so keeping member sets in another forum just reduces clutter like it should. dont think that getting your post stuck between howells and sasha will make someone download your set more just because its in the p+r forum.

that right there is something members who post here should realize i.e. its going to be an even harder sell for someone in the P+R forum whereas someone who ventures into the member promo forum will be more inclined to download a lesser known name.

another point to consider...

how about allowing more threads to be shown per page in the p&r forum, and designate that forum for ALL sets, members and superstars, post in one section

instead of showing 20, how about 40.
(kamal can that be done?)

i go in the p&r section everyday and rename those damned [Request] threads to this uniform title, so for the modest amount of [Member Promo] that would be posted i suppose i can put forth the extra effort if it will appeal to all involved in this.

then again looking at that it looks retarded. keep seperate forums.

Its simple statistic I think, check both forums which has the most visitiors and views, i get more views on a post if its in this section than the other. The other one is pretty useless for me atleast, as I see it. I see this as a promochannel and a place to get some fresh sets regardless of who the dj is, but I agree I usually download some names I have heard of before, known and unknown.

I think I have made my points that i want to be able to post mixes in this section.... oposed to the other section.

So its up to the mods ofcourse.... I spread my music elswere too, so people who like something i play will probably pick it up at some point anyway, since quite a few use several msgboards.

The setting how many posts are displayed before the page split happens can only be set for all forums in the Admin Panel, not for a particular one. Members can choose to display 5, 10, 20, 30 or 40 posts per page through their CP as you said though.

^^not to be a penis again or anything, but chloe for example is a member and her sets get posted in the p+r forum. i'd say it is all based on how popular/recoganizable your sets are to the general public vs strictly being a member. harsh i know but that is the way the world works.
