    Sasha - Interview Beatportal

?...I love playing back-to-back with John, and whenever our diaries coincide we try to play together,? he says.
?...Another Delta Heavy tour would be great, maybe in the future it could happen.? KILLER JHLKIYUILKYFD

Hmm - he also says .... ?I tend to lose my marbles during August and around Christmas it can get pretty bad too? !!

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.

Meh, they're nothing special when they play together. They should leave their former glory in the past where it belongs.

On their own though they're out of this world. More so than any other time in their careers.

Pretty decent article. Would like more thought? Too brief.

Agreed. Their NE days are long over and done with. Their Delta Heavy sets were still cool, but their sounds have been diverging since 2001. Each has moved on and pushed his own sound, more evident in the last few years. Their set in Melbourne last year was very rollercoaster with Digweed building up a good groove only to have Sasha smash all that buildup with his peaking tracks. There're definitely other DJs today who can play well with either Digweed or Sasha.

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

^^^ That's exactly how the gig went down the night (or the week) before in Sydney.

I couldn't stand it. 1 hour isn't enough time for them to build what they want to create, then the other comes on in a completely different tangent and ruins what the other one had going. It was highly annoying.

Digweed was playing his slow burner stuff from transitions 2, Sasha would come on and drop peak time prog trance. Give me either of the two on their own.

Their 4-hour Southfest set sounded pretty good the other year : if they played together more often they'd have a better idea of what the other was digging.

The irony is, most of the crowd was waiting for Digweed's segment to be over so they can scream the roof down when Sasha comes on with his peaktime tracks. They might work better together if Digweed was given his 3 hours to warm up for Sasha's 3 hours and the two of them can play back to back in the remaining hours of the night (which we seldom get in these parts of the world ).
