wait a sec...you bought headphones, and didn't even hook them up to a mixer or cd player to listen to them? WOW that takes a serious belief that you know how well their products are.

Well, I had the sonys and didn't like them that much, went to the pioneer's and not only was I not impressed with their sound quality but they broke on me too.
Anyhow, I've been reading a lot of online reviews and I have the Xone 92 mixer so I know they make quality products.
Anyhow, I got to listen to them last night and I don't have one regret at all! They're crystal clear, great bass, and they're comfy too! What more could you want.
Oh man. I don't know why anyone would go with the pioneers. The earpiece has such a small hole for the sound to come through, there is no way you are getting all you could out of those headphones.
I may just get me a pair of the Xone headphones...if I ever get really back into Dj'ing regularly.

jeff that really doesnt make much difference doing that, a good set of headphones will need broke in just like any other good speaker, when i first bought my hd650's i was ready for sending them back because they sounded so dam flat and papery, now the still sound flat but are not as papery
Definitely one of the posts that helped persuade me.
Funny you mention the "Senns" because the day I bought them I rolled over to my buddies house right away and he has a pair of Sennheiser headphones. Not the dj ones but the HD555 ones. He acutally agreed with me that mine sounded more clear than his... however he did mention that mine were almost too "bright" or trebly.
Anyhow, been using them for a few days now and I love um.
"I think in the Twilo days we definitely played more trancey, but when I think of trance I think of huge breakdowns and ridiculous sawtooth synth lines which me and John have never played." - Sasha
I still use my silver Sony's I've probably had them about 8 years..Still going strong...The leather on the ear pieces are cracking but, they still sound good.
yeah i've had mine since 02 i think and they still work well. But they are cracked pretty bad and will definitely be needing some good HP's in the future. Probably will get these or some Ultrasones.
May grab a pair for my guitar playing - assume they are top studio quality

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.
