quit blaming opec. if the govs leaders didnt gain butt loads of proffit of the oil trade they deff would off invest in different formz of energie, fuel. they are willing to fuck over the people for their personall gain.
and one more thing.lobbyist, whos gona fund their election campaign if they dont support the major oil companies. what about exxon and their multimillion profits. if u really had balls u would ride the buss to work. and one more thing last thing i guess. howcome the goverment has control of gass prices during election time and not the rest of the year?!

So let the OPEC threaten the West with blowing up the oil prices: it's yet another reason to invest more resources in R&D which will free us from our oil addiction.

um....we could drill in the US? we could resort to building new nuclear power plants. but that won't happen, now will it? it's not an addiction. it's a necessity. it's like saying tap water is an addiction...

It's a 'necessity' because we've conditioned ourselves to accept only oil as our resource. We made ourselves dependent on it which is pathetic.

          ^^^ exactly my point.

I'm involved in the safety coordination of the building of a giant wind farm off the Belgian coast. The choice between sucking oil company/OPEC dick and giving them the finger is a political one...
