when i was young, my brother's friend put him on American Girl's list, can't remember if it was a magazine promo or a catalogue, but everyone thought it was hilarious - except my brother, whose name had been changed from James to Jamie on the mailing list...

or if anyone knows of sites where you can forget to tick the box that says dont forward to other interested companies.
