Justin Scott Dixon is the shit. His studio and production work is unrivaled, maybe only by Jesse Skeens. He does a lot of remastering work as well.

Maybe because there are now alot more so-called producers, what with every bloke and his dog whipping up a tune in 1 hour flat on Ableton, that it's getting harder and harder for any particular producer to stand out from the background noise of mediocrity.

not only that, but people get bored and tired. many producers don't make a lot of money making electronic music anymore (not sure if they ever did). most of them probably have other professions on top of producing and they keep a busy schedule doing other things.
