Steve Gerrard gets my vote, for his mixes this year. Wasn't really too bothered until the Wrecked Angle mix on Annie. He seems to be playing more progressive breaks these days - check out the latest dialogue mixes on proton.

Roaring melodies, building seamlessly between house and breaks - assimilating the best parts of recent sasha sets IMO.

Scott's style is techy influenced prog house, with a slightly dark edge to it - and jeeeesus christ his mixing is superb. Heavily influenced by Digweed. Fucking hot stuff. (And he'll be back on my Proton show before the year's out.)

If you're after the 4 hr Proton recording, just look me up on Soulseek as 'gtappers2' and grab whatever you like.

Thks for the hds up m8! I just got back from spending a year in Sydney will have a good look into the site.

                    simply ... Mark Santangelo.

Been following him for about a year, and love all his work. Just a perfect example of solid, deep & dark progressive music.

Is there any value in YOUR post? Isn't the point for them to contribute? Someone comes up with an interesting thread and this is your contribution?

                        Good work.

                        Now, about the thread:

Desyn's been crowned the "NEXT BIG THING", but I wasn't that impressed during the Digweed tour. One hell of a record label, though, so I'll give him credit for that.

Steve Porter has really brought himself up a notch this year, and he'll continue to grow in popularity, IMO. Graduate from "Talented Opener" to "Headliner".

And Lee Burridge seems to be getting some of the recognition he deserves this year as well. He's always been big, but most people never put him in the best of the best status. I think his sets at Arc this year really helped him get recognized for what he is: One of the top five DJs in the world. My personal favorite.

I guess they've been around for longer, but for one's that I've discovered this year that have rocked me with their new productions are:

                              Matthew Dekay
                              Christian Cambus
                              Steve Porter

                              Chris Micali
                              Fretwell
