Seattle Info request?

Hello MS!
I just moved to Seattle for a summer internship and would be greatfull for some 411!
I have gone above and beyond the call of duty for anyone who needed Atlanta info in the past...

I am searching for...
1) Any Seattle based music forums with dance event listings?
2) Restaurants, bars, clubs with dance music (prog, techno, house...you get the idea)

chloe harris is from there but shes been allover the place now...im moving to spokane washington in april and unfortuatly its closer to idaho then seattle. cant really help you sorry

If you want restaurants, hit everything off of Lake Union. Some good stuffs there.

lrn - why spokompton?

seattle is cool. i hope you like it. we have loads of music. lots of things to do outside if you like that.

cougar mountain is a fun hike.
alki beach in west seattle is great for views of the city.
ballard locks is really interesting. you can walk underneath and see the salmon going from sea to fresh water. mm vot else.
there's an awesome view of all of it on queen anne. its one of the oldest parks in seattle. just gorgeous.
emp sometimes has shows that are worth seeing there. if not, just go to the bar any how. frank gehry designed the building and its veryyyyy interesting. there's a statue of guitars that is really high that actually plays music.
seattle is being built up a lot and is said to be in the next 10 years one of the best places to live health wise.
the best part of living here is definately the food and the nature. the trees are stunning. and they are everywhere.

Spokane is kind of a pain... not ideally located in respect to Seattle or Portland. never actually been there so i can't comment on the city itself.

its weird how if you go over the mountains its a whole different planet. dry air makes me nuts iyo?

foooooood places to hit up while here. (please just look them up in google i dont have time atm)

*aoki sushi - on broadway. (fucking amazing sushi)
*honey hole sandwichs. - on capital hill. the best rock/bar/sannish shop ever. fucking beastly biguns.
*osteria la spiga - the best italian restraunt in seattle. extremely amazing wine bar. very special place.
*coastal kitchen - the best breakfast ever. served till 3 pm. huge and fucking yummy after a nite out.
*toi - hip but really cool thai food. spicay!
*vivace coffee - the best place in seattle to get a latte. only 3 shops. there will never be more.

on the eastside there is cool shit too.

*flo - great / expensive but worth it sushi. probs better than aoki, but its more expensive so aoki wins on that front. sometimes tho.. its just nice to have that slice of smoked salmon that tastes like butter. i mean if you like that. lol.
*acropolis - greek/pizza place. family owned by these peeps i went to school with. they moved back to greece now but their family still owns and the brother runs it. anyhoo. they have great thick ass pizza and the best grinders ever. they are so warm and melty and crisp with hella different stuff if you want that. its a great place for when u are baked.
*city thai - thai food that shows up in a pinapple. i fucking hid u not. its awesome. i mean not all dishes. but the rice does. hehe. yummy food.
*whole foods market - a grocery store. yes. but they have a huge area where you can have them make you stuff or you can grab stuff that is there. they make good burgers and grilled cheese. and very good soups.

Where you going to be staying? I'm moving to Belltown in a week. Which I can't wait for because there are so many good places to go hangout at within walking distance of my new place. There and Capital Hill.

There are plenty of these all throughout California as well. I love hitting them up when I'm working in a town near one. Get some quality lunch food right there. Other similar chains would be like Tom's and then there's Henry's. I think I'll go hit up my local Henry's right now.
