Hey All!

While not strictly progressive (although having a smattering of progressive tunes scattered through out), I thought I?d post up the links to one of my most prized sets. Armin van Buuren ? Sublime, Sydney [24-01-2004]. This was a magical night for me, and is still spoken about amongst Armin tragics, and general purveyors of quality music as one the best nights Sydney had the pleasure of hosting.

In another of the forums I find myself frequenting there is a discussion as to the nuances of Armin?s sound. While being conscious of defining an artist who likes to push his creative boundaries I am a believer that Armin does consistently display progressive elements in his music.

2004 - Armin was good that times... now it is worse but this set rocks!

although i'm not a huge fan of trance, when i saw him at spundae in l.a., he was fucking awesome.
blame it on red bull & vodka.

That’s a fair call. For me music has to engage through a strong emotive connection, first and foremost, that for me is how I measure how and what appeals to me. Uplifting trance, and Armin specifically, when showcasing the more melodic elements of progressive does this, each to there own though!
