Terry?s Caf? 10, mixed by Terry Lee Brown Junior (compilation)
TAKEN FROM PLASTIC CITY MYSPACE..
It's the 10th anniversary of Terry?s?Caf? and the master himself presents a high dose of his genius. The series of Terry Lee Brown Junior?s Mixes has been existing for 8 years and chooses from the latest productions of his colleagues while being a well balanced mix between the stars of the scene and newcomers and their talent. All these combined with Terry's accurate and delicate mixing abilities sum up to an extraordinary listening pleasure which is more than adulating the listeners' ears – also compatible with crowded dance floors and moving legs! The 10th is a delicious musical double package: A single mix was not enough for Terry and Plastic City. Therefore the first part contains swinging and shiny house grooves as an essence of the current development in house music. Mousse T., The Timewriter, Phonique, Greg Parker (next release at Plastic City soon to come) or Terry himself come up with glamorous productions. Loco Dice for example is nearly the most attractive artist in this area at the moment and worldwide spreads his grooves via Ovum, Minus or Cocoon Recordings and of course is one of Terry's favourites. The newcomers and talents don't hide behind the big guys' stuff and David Keno, Martin Buttrich, Matthias Tanzmann or Dave Spoon come up with massive and brilliant productions! David Keno is running his own label with great success, Buttrich is producing for Loco Dice or Timo Maas and Dave Spoon lately remixed "Reachin Out" (The Timewriter) – quite close! The second part is best-suited for collectors and fans of lessons in the house history . Eleven tracks which all are milestones and greatly influenced development of house music: Ricardo Villalobos' „808", Mr Fingers' „Can You Feel It" or Hardtrax' „Hardphunk" and more jewels which are made of ancient material but nevertheless have set trends and are still magnificent pieces of music! Issue 10 shows that Terry?s?Caf? is at the same time up to date and ageless, that after the long story of Terry's, Plastic City's and this mix-series' success one can't get enough ….of just good music!
