I got to thinking about the club scene, and remembering some of those classic nights in great venues ie. Nation, Twilo, Arc. With so many clubs come and go, any truely "it" clubs currently. The newest club that took my back was Dave Seaman@ LOVE NYC. Awsome sound, great crowd, dark fucking room. I always ask DJ's favorite clubs and now rarely get the same response. Love to here from global clubbers and DJ's to what makes these clubs so special. Support your local club scene.
i got to see tenaglia and howells at arc on seperate nights in nyc. tenaglia for 9 hours, howells for 12...it was absolutely mindblowing. if anything, these clubs are so special because you can't see sets like that many other places....
twilo, no doubt one of the best clubs. I was there one night when Misstress closed for Carl Cox. that was unbelievable. she gave one of the best sets I have ever heard. she drove the all club crazy.

I wasn't smart enough to fly to New York and experience Twilo, and Arc. I always put it off, needless to say I don't put off going to great clubs anymore.
Fabric room 2, sound in there is incredible. Its all brick walls, gives it a "warehouse" feel, even though its a totally state of the art system. Proper dark room, with a laser (or 3) above a stage (for the live acts) with the DJ to the side of the floor. Ive heard a very fitting description of "the dark rave tunnel"
And yes, main room at Space Ibiza is awesome. Saw sasha and junkie xl in there (2002)and it was crazy - would love to go back and see what theyve done with the club now.
the guvernment in toronto with sasha and steve lawler going back to back in the main room then taking it up to the skybar till 11am spinning vinyl. i've seen so many great shows there, amazing sound.
Never went to a bad one. People so friendly, the music amazing and then top it all off with Digweed. Really cool club too, a few rooms i never knew exisited. As for the rave tunnel, room one at Heaven was the orginal imo, dirty as you like.
Did they like, umm... take any toilet breaks or any breaks at all?? I mean how does one do this? I had heard of 8 hour S & D sets at Twilo but 12 hours???
Anyone remember the name of that club/bar down in San Diego that used to have an awesome breaks night once a month? The Brickhouse or Brickyard or something. Freakin' awesome because it was so small and you'd get trashed on great japanese drinks for cheap. We always had a great time down there. B-Side was one of the hosts.

You're most likely thinking of Dragon Lounge when it was at "Brick by Brick". They're breaks, but mostly DnB.
Nice night, but not a world class club night in my opinion. =)
Renaissance nights at the Bomb (Nottingham) were pretty good - very intimate. Sasha played a blinder to 300 people in 2004 with the very capable Marcus James on the undercard. Hernan and JZ played there a few times too.
Sankeys (Manchester) run good Tribal Session nights, as does Circus (Liverpool) too - having featured Sasha, Digweed, Lawler, JZ, Kleinenberg and DeepDish over the past few years.

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.
