When you think about the inspirational figures who lived their lives for a decent cause (whether you agree with their philosophy or not) - they have always been few and far between.
But will the world at large develop anymore - or has the world become ruled by powerful money groups and/or money markets in general? More extreme causes in general.
I was thinking of Gandhi and Mother Theresa - even Winston Churchill or Gorbachov. Lech Valensa (spell?) in Poland. - They battled for their causes and appeared to have a thread of decency about them.
When the Dalai Lama has gone - who is going to be left?
Its hard to see a decent person on a global front - that doesnt have some form of personal gain up their sleeves. There will always be (hopefully) small groups of people doing decent things for communities.
Rose tinted glasses ?
