sorry, but it absolutely blows my mind that people can be in their 20's and above thinking this movie somehow "kicked ass", this shit was standard conveyor belt cinematic bullshit. Between all the product placements, the lame as hell story, the wack ass acting transformers i couldn't count the number of times i rolled my eyes. How are you going to hit me with a hard intro (black apache helicopter escorted to military base, helicopter turns into badass transformer and fucks everything up) to some abc family high school musical bullshit thrown into a "make-it-up-as-we-go-along-whoa-this-shit-is-cool-cuz-its-a-michael-bay-film-check-out-all-the-explosions" plot. People think this shit is sweet cuz its transformers, shit was wack, you may need to watch it again and turn down your "omfg~~!!!! transfromers" hype meter a little bit and simply view it within the context of if its a good film or not. because it isn't. at all.

Dude I'm not sure what you were expecting with the movie. The original cartoon was made for children and imo this movie managed to reach both children and adults in terms of humor and action. I didn't expect some badass hard-hitting flick, I went in there and saw the Transformers I knew come to life, and even more than I'd ever imagine as a kid. Perhaps the only problem is that the movie tried to do too much and cater to as many demographics as possible. Consider this: The movie had to cater to fans who watched Transformers as kids and have grown up and expect more badass action while retaining the same entertainment value from years ago, it also had to cater to the current generation of possible / would-be Transformers fans. The CGI was a level of detail I never imagined either, and the way it was synced with the live footage was cool as. Remember seeing Terminator 2 or Star Wars for the first time? That's what Transformers felt like for the 2000s. What WERE you expecting? "More than meets the eyes Blade Runner?" Yes Transformers is OMFG, so quit your whining. You sound like a kid whose heat activated sticker died on him. Keep rubbing.

And I think it's section 7, and I'm definitely watching it again. Besides Megan Fox looks better in the movie than in the production pictures.

Guys chelaxify it's just a movie and anyway I'm not depressed anymore because I took out my frustrations on that modern transformer toy and "transformed" it into little tiny bits of plastic.

I think someone forgot to remind you that this is a kid's movie about talking robots that have feelings and can rap and turn in to cars. I don't know what deep storyline you were expecting from this but I'd love to see what you have in mind.

The dialog matched that of the original series. Did you want this to somehow evolve and not be true to form?

I only have one problem with that review.

Of course, this view of ?Transformers? comes from someone who until recently was totally unfamiliar with the whole phenomenon. (In preparation for seeing the movie, I did watch a couple episodes of the old series, which struck me as awful as well as incomprehensible.) Perhaps those with a nostalgic affection for the show will feel differently (although some acquaintances who used to watch it disliked the picture intensely, for the changes it made as well as its general stupidity.) And young boys brought up on video games who thrive on cartoon violence will probably enjoy it. (Fanboys who?ve never outgrown their devotion, of course, will eat it up as a matter of course.)

Others, however, will probably agree that this is one silly, overblown movie, skillful but bombastic eye-candy for the adolescent-minded, with the cinematic I.Q. of your average household appliance.

that actually wasn't the review i wanted to post, i couldn't find the one i was looking for so i opted for that one instead. If you like it cool, A LOT of people do, i just wasn't into it for the reasons i mentioned above and i was the biggest transformers fan on my block back in the day, so this isn't comming from someone who heard about transformers a few times and decided to see the movie.

i just got this crazy flashback of my spoiled neighbor getting the Optimus Prime that you had to have 6 differnet transformers combined to transform, gez that kid had everything, nintendo power pad, power GLOVE, and on and on, it was good having spoiled friends but not being one .

what were you expecting? a fucking miracle with money? A cure for cancer? End of global warming? Come on people get some common sense here. It can not be that terrible if tons of people have watched it and loved it. I have few folks at work that were forced to watch it and just were dreading the idea of watching the movie. Amazing in that aspect that you can get the T's on big screen and get non fans masturbating in their movie seats.
