Cyclists are dopers. Greg was a cyclist. Greg was a doper.

      1. Armstrong was a doper too (remember that after his last win of the Tour he refused to take a doping test?
      2. "silly little bicycle race"? Dude, the Tour is the most legendary cycling race in history. Go watch some fat fucks throw and hit a ball with a wooden stick... Baseball, isn't that how it's called?

              Re: Tour de France 2007

Over 5 million people in Germany were following the tour de France each year...big thing here and I laughed when I heard they stop their live reports because it was soooo obvious they will find doped athlets again. Even Zabel did an interview recently where he cried like a little baby and confessed to be guilty of doping.

Cycling is fun but watching others cycling isn't fun for me..I guess I need a ball beaten or shot involved in a game so I can enjoy it.

the only appeal for me was watching the french whine about lance kicking their ass.

this thread reminds me tho i need to pick up a bike tire today.

Cycling is an excellent sport. I miss having the time for it. Anyone want to buy my frame and fork so I can get a new setup?

^^^ nope thanks, I'm currently repairing my own MTB

Latstest news: Vinokourov tested positive on doping after his time trial on Saturday. As a result the entire Astana team is pulling out of the Tour. Vino was one of the favorites to win the tour this year. They should castrate the asswipe.

                    Pathetic shit...

we should start letting all these freaks just use as much dope as they can, see how freakish we can make these records.

"Man completes Tour De France in 2 days, then dies, NEW WORLD RECORD!"

Yeah, that would be more spectacular than Vinokourov is growing tits and his testicles are shrinking after winning 2 etappes in the Tour

                            Taken from the BBC website
It seems that Kazakhstan is in denial, after the cyclist Alexandre Vinokourov was forced to withdraw from the Tour de France for failing a blood test. There has been no word in the Kazakh media that Mr Vinokourov has tested positive for blood doping.
Neither is there any mention of the fact that his team, Astana, has withdrawn from the race.
However many Kazakhs have heard the news from foreign media. They say they are in shock and cannot believe it.
One of the cyclist's former trainers told the BBC he is heartbroken that his student will not achieve his dream of winning the Tour de France.
He also said he was worried that this blow would undermine the future of cycling in Kazakhstan.
Lemme guess... Sportive learnings of doping for make benefit glorious nation of Kazakhstan?

Another rider has been found positive for doping use (high testosterone levels after the 11th etappe). The UCI will reveal his name later on tonight. One thing's for sure: it's not Rasmussen.

-edit- The news is out: Cristian Moreni from the Cofidis team

                            S? s?, sono imbroglione!

LMAO @ all teams btw: AG2R, Agritubel, Bouygues Telecom, Cofidis, Cr?dit Agricole, Fran?aise des Jeux, Gerolsteiner and T-Mobile announced that they would do a sit-in strike at the start today to protest against the doping use in the Tour. But T-Mobile gave the finger to the others and started anyways. Cheeky fuckers

-edit- LMAO even harder @ Cofidis for protesting against doping while Moreni gets nicked a few hours after

That said, Rasmussen was the first to arrive on the Col d'Aubisque today after the 16th etappe. Pretty interesting duel between Rasmussen and Contador in the last 9km.

it?s a joke by now, and this new contador is on dope as well. compared to the best young driver last year, Voeckler, he is just too strong. but i?m not wasting my time watching that anyway.. Rasmussen, it?s a shame.

the question for me is who forces the drivers to take the drugs because no one can be that silly to expect that by getting an etappe winning will not lead to further drug testings.

It comes from two sides. Riders are paid bonuses for wins etc, so if you notice that other guys are using doping and performing better than you are, either you jump the bandwagon or you get paid less/can't build a carreer. Second side: team managers. As previous cases have showed most of the times the team managers are well aware of the cheating and even encourage it in order to boost their teams.

News flash: the management of the Tour is thinking of founding their own league outside the UCI. That way they can forbid "questionable" riders to start since the pro tour system of the UCI doesn't work at all.

I hope this will be a turning point. Cycling is a great sport and the Tour is a monument. Seeing both being fucked up by a bunch of tossers is just plain sad...
