Re: I'm already not a cat person...
read about this yesterday. strange little story, but there are many things that we as humans do not have the capacity to understand.
but seriously, why is there a cat in a nursing home? i mean other than to console the soon to be deceased hours before they die.
maybe the cat is stealing their breathe. (just kidding)

i read this in the paper this morning...i wonder what the phone calls sound like...
Hi Mr. Douche? This is Dr. Retard, our cat is pretty sure your father is going to die in a few hours. Oh wait, he's purring now, you better get down here fast.Leave a comment:

yep, thats the 6th sense at work. Odd if you think that during the Tsunami that struck the South East Asia, not a single elephant died in Indonesia.Leave a comment:

I'm already not a cat person...
but I really wouldn't want to have this feline stroll into my room:
Oscar the cat predicts patients' deaths
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Oscar the cat seems to have an uncanny knack for predicting when nursing home patients are going to die, by curling up next to them during their final hours. His accuracy, observed in 25 cases, has led the staff to call family members once he has chosen someone. It usually means they have less than four hours to live.
Maybe this cat is the feline equivalent of the grim reaper. Maybe it's an angel. Or perhaps it is the host of a horrible, highly contagious virus that is harmless to cats but fatal to humans.
Seriously, that's pretty spooky. Animals are insightful like that, though.Tags: None
