    Re: Gym rant

If you are in serious training with some serious exercises then you need to go to the gym. Some things just can't be done at home (squats, deadlifts...) and as the supplements go if it makes you better looking or better at training why not use them.

As for the screws issue, hell you can even press charges.... But anyway give them hell, make them fix it and always keep complaining if something is wrong, it's your health (back).

But there is one thing that interests me... Are you working out for yourself or for your girlfriend???

Not true ... all you need to squat is a power rack, a bench for presses and other exercises, and you perform deadlifts with the same olympic bar on the power rack but resting on the floor. Throw in a pair of dumbbells and you're set. That's provided Kinky has the space for the plates and the setup.

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

Alright, that is true, but power racks are big, and you need a lot of plates... He needs a lot of dumbbells too (or plates for dumbbells). Shoulders, arms, chest, back all different weights.
Then when you're training with heavy weights you'll probably need a spotter (training partner).
For me, there is nothing that can replace a gym.
If he is training with light weights and wants a ripped look than it's a different story, but as he said he is after the muscular look (he gets ripped at boxing) it is all heavy and hard. In my opinion the gym is the only real way

Sueing: I read that a couple of times already and really, that's a no go for me. I prefer solving conflicts outside of the court and moreover, given the speed of Justice in Belgium, it could take years before there's a final decission. I have better things to invest my time in.

@ Skotina: The first gym I started training at three years ago was a power house (like we call it here), a lot of bodybuilders in other words. It's funny how all of a sudden you realise putting on volume gets addictive. So in other words, I was already pretty pumped up when I ran into my girlfriend. But well yeah, since she's loving it, I'm keeping it up for her. Really funny as hell when she sees me on the webcam when I get home from the gym at night: priceless look on her face. So yeah, I guess 80% of the training I do for my woman. Hey, it's a motivation like another, right?

As for gym/home gym: most of my core exercises I'm doing with free weights instead of with machines. I already have a nice collection of plates, bars 'n' stuff, so when I throw in a basic allround machine which can take significant weight, I'm set.

Yes I have the space to install a gym room and when I put mirrors on the wall, I won't need a spotter. I'm not pushing more than 120kgs anyways since I don't feel like blowing up like a balloon.

            Re: Gym rant

I've actually lowered the weight and increased the number of reps each session. And usually make sure the amount is enough to make my mucles burn -that way I hope to stay strong but not grow too much. I'm pretty slender, so a pumped up build would probably look very unnatural on me, while a more athletic look is prolly more compatible with me, and I won't slow down either. And the climbing i plan to pick up again will only add to the athletic part, it's a great complete workout like swimming.
