    Re: Usefull links!

cant remember the site thought, but some of them actually do the draws with hand, they use color sprays and shite...

    cant remember the site though

i surf all day in internet looking for new tutos and ideas.
my bookmark is all full with sites...hehe...

but the vectors do some great work in illy i agree...when you see an espectacular image you say "is the shite" but when you see how it was created it sometimes dissapoint you..

the hard thing is to balance the vector and the colors as impact you want to put in you design!

    check this site for real

That is like peeing on the DJ for not being a producer...however: even more than in DJ-ing a design takes a lot your of own input, even if you're using ready made vectors. And most designers that use them are very well capable of creating vectors or brushes of their own, I do that all the time.

Since I got a graphics tablet at work I'm also drawing by hand, am actually going to te me a Wacom Bamboo Medium for at home soon. That's when the freedom kicks in and a mouse becomes like a stone brick. Just my opinion tho.

And I totally respect your opinion bro. I'm just finding more and more of these so called graphic designers who just use these brushes and tack them into an image they've lifted from some other site and then call it their own work. I see it in a lot of dj flyers these days.

check out mine @ my website (see sig). All custom made. I guess that that's what makes the difference between a real designer and a wannabe then

I think the brush sets like that are pretty handy- used some stuntkid brushes today actually to make some puddle mattes. I also purchase 3d models and use them in my animation work.... Mainly because I have deadlines and modelling can't fit into my worktime. There are also times when I purchase photographs to use... I also purchase typefaces I didn't make.
Am I a hack too then?

You spin records you didn't produce don't you? You also use typefaces you didn't make in your tshirt designs....

Kinda the same thing.... You're putting them in context for consumption.

Ok let's get anal now guys. HAHAHA. I totally understand your points and agree with them. I think i was pretty much just thinking about local flyer designs as of late and how much they look like they use these brushes.

Yao. Let me know how that Bamboo tablet works. I've been thinking of getting one of those.

"context for consumption" I like that phrase.
