    Pioneer Dvd-rw Dvr-212d Sata

My dvd-rw can burn dvd rewritable but it won't burn cd rewritable. I've updated to the last firmware and i've even tested several cd-rw brand names. After my dvd-rw malfunctioned, I also tested it with other cd-burning applications (current default application->NERO) with no luck! Anybody have a clue, or should i buy a new one?

I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me

      ^ ^ That's the ticket.

Besides that, how do you like this writer? Do you notice any real time benefits with the SATA configuration?

Come on man. SATA is a new technology and it's much faster than IDE. Regarding the problem, I replaced the dvd-rw with a new one and it works perfect!

I understand it's newer technology but are there any "real time" benefits with this vs. a standard 18x DVD writer that is IDE? I haven't paid any attention to SATA writers since both of my IDE writers work without any glitches.
