MBP vs iMac ... becoming tougher choice if mobility is more a premium than a must?

I am actually thinking of purchasing one of these. I am only hesitating because i havent used a MAC in about 10 years
hehe, last time i have ever used a mac was back in middle school during a "learning the computer" type class once a week and i just bought a macbook... probably the most glorious time in my computer days
beautiful machine! I took a two hour lunch to see one in store. wow. really sexy and slick. You can get a 2.8 extreme chip with 2 gig and 500 HD for about 2,300.00 of course you get the 24 inch screen as well. Not sure if it is worth it, but damn that thing is fucking sexy.
