    Tornado in Brooklyn?

Yikes we had some storms last night, and the commute from hell today.

As a reader reported earlier, a tornado may have touched down

the commute was absolute hell this morning...no subways (just about), the buses were full and there was traffic congestion all around. Hope this is cleared up by the afternoon rush hour...dreading that.

You're telling me. My normal commute of 30 minutes took 3 hours. I'm drinking like an animal tonight to cope with this mess.

^^^ Haha screw you guys. It's 100 with a heat index of 108 and we're in a severe drought here (about 100 miles south of ATL).

Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl."

We're both bitching about something that comes with the territory so apparently we should both STFU.

i had just fallen asleep after studying for my final this morning and the storm rolled in...half my class was missing/came in late bc of the traffic.

i actually got a nice parking spot right in front of my building lol.
