help pls: music events & record shops in NYC

So I just completed the 2 day car trip from Miami, FL all the way up to NYC... I'm gonna be here for a few days and want to make the most of it. And so, New Yorkers or anyone familiar, I'd like your help please...

    1. Any good house/techno events going on this week/weekend? Anything minimal/tech is a big plus...

    2. If there is anyone out there besides me who still buys records...any good places you'd recommend? Again emphasis on anything with minimal/techno-y stuff..

Here's what I plan on checking out for sure:

    Halcyon in Brooklyn
    Dance Tracks on E 3rd
Satellite Records...maybe...even tho it's online I heard you can come dig through crates..

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

          Thursday:
Justin Martin, Dirtybird party at APT (word is this has been a phenominal residency and Justin is tons of fun)
Behrouz at Cielo (not minimal, but the clubs so intimate and well worth going to)

          Saturday:
PS1 - don't know who's there, but this has been THE best party every summer weekend for the last 5 years...outdoors at a museum with some great music during Saturday afternoons!
Trent Cantrelle, D:Fuse at Sullivan Room
"Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
          Dance like nobody's watching.
          Sing like nobody's listening.
Live like it's Heaven on Earth."
