that story is horrible. i have two boys around that age and honestly can't describe the emotion that the gives you as a parent to someone who isn't. i can't really say how i would react if that was my kid. it does sadden me that this shit happens though.

gotta say that of late I've been getting increasingly annoyed with the amount of intolerance that seems to pop up around the globe, springing from mainly organized religious and ideological groups -it almost seems like there's a trend of people grouping together and actively denouncing everything that doesn't belong to theirs or adheres to their rules. Shit, you're not even supposed to make your own choices, the clergy or key figures will do that for you.

And then set a little boy on fire in a conflict that the kid doesn't even really understand -he could have been a pon at most but more likely him and his parents were just trying to stay alive in a fucked up society, regardless of religion. And what the fuck is it that people pull shit like like this with a 'holy book' in their hands to justify their egocentric, sadistic, low and vile actions?

Yao the article doesn't mention anywhere that religion has anything to do with this. All it says is it was a seemingly random attack.

heh, anyone remember those two British soldiers popping Iraqi's and then getting caught by the police in Basra? I believe they were SAS or some sort of special forces, and they dressed just like the civilians. I get skeptical when things like this are blown all over the news now. As such, and as expected, America will come to the rescue to give him medical treatment.
