here, at work, I remember the guy in the radio saying "hey, a plane crashed into the WTC!!!!"... and later... "hey, there goes another one"...

i was working valet parking at a hotel in Brickell Ave. ( miami ) when this hapenned ... we all went to a room to watch the news for the whole day ... no work done that day

Remember you coudn't get cnn.com cos of the demand.
Trying to phone people I knew in NYC.
All the rumours spreading when it first happened - that planes were on their way to Chicago, and everywhere being evacutated. Bomb threats emptying hospitals.
Not pleasant.

on my way to work...thankfully late as I work a few blocks south of the towers. When I was told what was going on I turned around and tried calling my family and friends who had been trying to reach me. Then I saw the towers go down from the roof of my building (only reception I could get in my building that day/week) and then wandered aimlessly downtown for the rest of the day. <insert chills and tears>

I was driving to work taking my sweet time cuz there was strike ( Picket line ) at work when i heard the news on the radio, by the time i got to work they had cancelled the strike. I spent the whole day surfing the web and reading newspapers online.

A sad day indeed.

I was cleaning a pool (worked for a pool business at the time) and the owner came out to invite me in to see the news on what was happening..We hung out at his house for a few hours, even had a beer and smoked a cigarette with him. When I left there I just drove around in my pool truck for a while listening to the radio reports, then finally called it a day after doing one pool out of my twenty for the day..No one really worked that day and it was understood..We were all shocked.

I was working for Domino's in my hometown when I heard about it. We had a tv in there and I didn't know about it until I got to work @ 10.

I was in my room, about to go to the doctors as i was throwing up blood. I remeber watching the 2nd plane hit live on the telly, it was very surreal, like a movie.
