Re: superwave's Sasha Liveset Archive List

Has anyone seen an archived setlist larger than this one for DJ Sasha, cause if you have please name the files and if you got them post em here or in a new thread.

The guy that posted the "BEST OF SASHA" thread said something like there has to be hundreds if not thousands of livesets floating around. If thats true the small collection that i have accumulated will be only a fraction of the love that will be revealed through the resurrection! In a sense, his works are an Iceburg/Pulsar/Blackhole, you can see it/see its effect, it's definately there, but the only parts we have/see are the tip/flash/gravity, beneath the surface is the nature of Nature [you can't see everything and know where it is at the same time or you cant know where it is and what it is at the same time; ie. Uncertainty Principle] Surely there out there, JUST BELOW THE SEEN/KNOWN

p.s. FYI: I've archived all Sasha & Digweed sets ever released, None of them are longer than 4 hours and 40 minutes!!!! Just once I would like to hear the LEGENDS of house play continuously for longer than 5 to 9 hours, I know that they do that, so why is there no promotional proof of that yet!???????????????????

Re: superwave's Sasha Liveset Archive List

Probably because most venues don't even ask if they can record them. Surprisingly on Friday they played Kristal in Bucharest. And a lot of DJ's sets from there do get recorded, Plus the DJ's normally play long sets there. It would of been a great opportunity to capture a real long Sasha & Digweed set. I think its probably more down to Digweed who's putting out an hour a week on Kiss FM and gets to choose what gos out. I'm guessing the people who run Kristal respect the DJ enough to leave the decision if they say no. It would be great though to have 6 hours + of Sasha & Digweed, or even Tenaglia.

You also need to have a recording device at the club that can record that length of time. A few years pack i posted a Dave Seaman set from Kristal that was 8 hours 30 Min's. So it is possible

Its good for loads of other DJ's not just Sasha. The site's operators put a lot of effort into it. And the links are usually working

His emotive and well programmed sets have brought me "joy" for nearly two decades now and i think he desrves alot more credit than he is given.

It really annoys me when people under-appreciate him, because in most cases, they are commenting on a subject they dont really know about. My friends are all dance music fans and they never have patience when it comes to my style of music, all they want is bouncy beats with no structure to their sets, all the obvious, perdictable funky house / trance sh*t. You try and play something from sasha or any set that has prfessionalism in its structure, and they just go "ah, get that off, its boring". Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !

Maybe I analyse things to much[NOPE], or his music is just appealing to my personality[MAYBE], im a very emotional person as it is[:P], and i like high standards in everything, especially dance music[YOURE RIGHT].

                        Any thoughts ?
I have to argee with the notion that most of us are not even appreciating ourselves enough, let alone those artist we revere so much. The point behind music is connection, RIGHT. This continuous downplaying of skill on anyones part is obstructive to the whole of us.
To be consise, we all need to get off the high horse, realize true talent, see it in ourselves, and trust in the creator that we will be able to overcome any technological barriers that may arise in the near future! For all those who believe not, once you've given up on yourself & others, we cant use ya anymore!

My final thought is this, Why strike-out at anything that is apart of the fabric of things, good or bad its apart of all things and is deminished by the loss of you!

                        PEACE
