    3 MM OLED from Sony

Surely you remember Sony's OLED TVs with an astounding 1,000,000:1 contrast? Good, then you'll also recall that Sony promised the 3-fracking-mm thin, 11-incher this year; a schedule Samsung publicly doubted. While we wish it was 27- or even 30-inches, it's still a very important step in the wide-spread, commercialization of the technology. So check it Sammy, Sony's on the road touting a December, Japan delivery to anyone who will listen. So the question is: will you?Read -- Sony confirmation at Gitex Read -- Sony confirmation in Japan (footnote, near end)

That's great and freakin' small but they haven't gone larger because then the thickness will increase. Let's see what they can do with a 32+ " setup. I've been thinking about getting a Samsung OLED tv for my bedroom. I just need to go compare actual picture quality.

I saw a special on how' they're working on a screen using OLED's that can be rolled up like sheet of paper. I swear i saw them using it but maybe I'm tripping. They were also showing how the walls in this house were coated in OLED's, and they could change the color of their room with the touch of a button. Pretty sweet.

InfoComm has two parts to it. The exhibition side has a massive amount of companies and their products in the Audio/Visual world and then there are the conferences and teachings/seminars going on as well. It's a great place to check out new products and other things that will be coming out soon. We saw this massive wall-sized LED screens as well. Total eye candy at that place. Next year it's going to be in Vegas. Going to be a good time.

These OLEDs are really great! I heard too that you can roll it up like a sheet of paper, amazing. They sad that if the technology is ready it will be cheap too, but maybe im wrong about that...Rumors

Thats sounds like it's a long the same lines as the NAB(national association of broadcasters) I think, conference that happens every year in Vegas. Yeah, from what I'm told it's pretty rediculous how much new technology they have every year. I wish I could get sent TDY to one of these some day. They always send the civilian who doesn't do anything to these types of events. Good ole boy program if you know what I mean.

I go because I deal with all sorts of stuff in the medical field and yes, it actually applies to my job. This year was in Anaheim so it was nice to hang out locally. The amount of eye candy and cool "toys" was awesome. All I could think about was "How can I put this in my house? Where would I put that in my house?"
