Pipex, in common with other UK ISPs implemt a filtering system to block access to URLs that contain content defined as illegal by the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF). The IP address contained in the error reported by Rapidshare is that of Pipex's filtering server that is designed to block access those sites defined as illegal by the IWF. Rapidshare currently have some URLs on the IWF's banned list. This means that all UK ISP's are likely to be restricting access until the URL's are cleaned up. Pipex engineers will notify Rapidshare in an attempt to expedite this action.

just using a proxy with it just now as i,m stuck in contract with them till christmas, not long to go, already played the breach of contract thing with them before but not so sure it will work with this one, havnt been able to upload to ANY filehost for about 6 months +

So glad i didnt go with pipex now like i originally planned to. Went with tiscali and they have been fine.

man its every file hosting site there is, tried to upload something for karen a couple of weeks ago and even on MU it wouldnt let me upload n i tried just about everyone, got up to 108 MB on megaupload and it just stopped n froze :@

anyway i sent them a rather pissed off sounding email today and they didnt even have the balls to contact me back, cant move to another isp untill christmas or they will charge me for the remainder of my contract, moving isp @ christmas anyway but i will be checking out some details BEFORE moving to another 1

if i'd wanted a china style isp then i would of moved to god dam china, let the great british nanny internet state begin imo, bastards!!!!!

control is getting tighter, because real freedom scares the shit out of governments and the commercial market equally. You might just escape their grip and get what you really want in some kind of 'shadow' economy. The internet might well become the Western equivalent of the African informal economies, and has already become the place where political dissidents convene. bro if they changed that in your contract then you should have 30 days to cancel your contract because they changed the terms & conditions on you. you should call and bitch so they cancel free if you have an alternative
