... that is my question
An opportunity has presented itself to Chris and I that involves us moving overseas to the UK. Stoke on Trent to be precise. My father was born and raised in Scotland, which entitles me to my dual citizenship with the UK, which makes moving easier for me. I am in the process of obtaining this now, but it takes some time and costs around $400 CDN. Chris will be getting a sponsored work Visa to enable him to move.
I have been over to visit 3 times (Scotland, and England) in my life thus far and have loved every minute of it, but living there is another thing.
I have been talking with red1 and he has provided me with some insight and some job sites to have a look around. My field is Human Resources and it looks like there are decent jobs over there in that field, so it's hopeful. I would like to have a job lined up before getting there (obviously ideal), but Chris will have a job to bide us a bit of time, but I know it's pricey over there, so the sooner the better.
So what I am asking those of you who live in the UK for some insight on prices, flats, what to expect, anything that may benefit me. Our tentative move date would be April, so we have time, but not tonnes.
Any help is appreciated
