What the heck are you guys talking about???
Dark prog has only evolved, I mean that's what this music's about right? Sounds to me like a blend between techno and house. And right now there's plenty of BIG dj's who are taking this sound to the next level, people like Lawler, Fortier, Audiofly, Dubfire... the list just goes on and on.

So true. There is plenty of twisted dark stuff coming out at the moment. If you venture out of the prog section on beatport into the tech house/techno/minimal sections you'd be surpised at how much of it resembles the dark prog of the early millenium, albeit with a fresh new twist.
