    Prince

Hi am just listening to some Prince tracks now.. What are peoples opinons on him?? I love his older stuff.. If you had a choice between Prince or WACKO JACKO, who would you choose. I know my vote would go to Prince for sure.

    Re: Prince

Prince is probably the most talented musicians of all time. He's fluent on like a dozen instruments or something. Prince v. Jackson is a difficult depending on the year/album. Plus, he's been, as far as I can remember, been really into the politics of the music industry....good for him.
you could put an Emfire release on for 2 minutes and you would be a sleep before it finishes - Chunky

it's RA. they'd blow their load all over some stupid 20 minute loop of a snare if it had a quirky flange setting. - Tiddles

Am I somewhere....in the corners of your mind....

my friend has a annual prince v. michael party every year, you have to dress up as one or the other and i guess you could imagine what the music is.

              Re: Prince

That's a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned. His music isn't really my thing (with some notable exceptions), but Prince is an enormously creative and talented musician. The guy has done some groundbreaking work, has a truly signature sound that evolves but still remains recognizable as Prince, and has the good sense to surround himself with impossibly hot women rather than 8 year olds.

MJ's got quite a body of work as well, and hats off for unapologetically doing his own thing, but I'd pay to go see Prince in a heartbeat today, whereas I would have to be convinced to go see MJ right now even if the tickets were free.

Also, this doesn't have anything to do with music, but Prince is an eccentric, unusual, mysterious guy, while MJ is a fucking weirdo. Advantage Prince.
