just tossing out some good feelings for mike sweeney, who probably is retiring after today. he played for KC royals all his life, taking less pay to stay there a few times. all the big teams tried to obtain him, yet, he sacrificed a probable playoff run or two to stay in KC, hometown hero imho, and honestly the last one until jeter retires. not too many great players stick with one team to be loyal, yet he did it. what real baseball is about.
