...every single day, because you never know when it will be your last
On Tuesday afternoon a good friend of ours and Chris' brother were moving a piece of furniture at their store. While moving it our friend mentioned that he was feeling kind of light headed. Chris' brother thought he was kidding and told him he was a light-weight and to pick it back up....next thing he knows our friend is starting to faint. Chris' brother grabbed him before he hit the floor and realized something was seriously wrong....he called 911 and performed CPR for about 30min before the medics arrived...and like that he was gone
They rushed him to the hospital where he was placed on a machine to breath and pump his heart for him...his brain was completely dead. He was given 24hrs to improve or else he would never wake up.
His wife came to the hospital and was told her husband would probably never wake up, or if he did, he would most likely be an vegetable as his brain had been without oxygen for so long.
Late last night it was determined it was time to say goodbye. This morning they harvested his organs for donation and pronounced him dead
An autopsy is being performed to confirm the cause of death was a brain aneurysm. Our friend was 35 years old and in perfect health. He leaves behind a wife and 2 small girls (1 year old and a 3, almost 4 year old).
It is scary to think that no matter what you do to stay safe and healthy, that just like that out of nowhere, you can be gone
Please make sure you live your life each day to the fullest and make sure those around you know how you feel about them...I know this has definitely made me stop and think.
