Has anyone heard of Global Dimming? I watched a program on PBS about it...according to the show, it seems that the same pollutants we spew off into the earth's atmosphere which cause global warming is also attributed to global dimming...chemical particles which get trapped in our clouds actually reflect some sunlight (UV, gamma, and microwaves) back into space...scientists believe that global dimming has actually slowed down the global warming process...they say that without global dimming, the planet would be considerably warmer than it is now...one must question what our planet would be like without these chemicals suspended in our atmosphere in the first place...either way, we're screwed...
