"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl."
Everything's died down in Orlando now. A bit breezy. We lost power at about 4am and got it back at 6pm which is a miracle considering there are still over 1,000,000 people without power. Minimal damage locally although there is still a curfew in effect so we haven't ventured out beyond our complex. In the central Florida area we will be able to go out at 6am Monday morning so that's when we'll be able to see the true extent of the damage if we can even tell the difference between the damage from Jeanne and the damage from Frances & Charley which is still not totally cleaned up yet.
Thanks for all the positive thoughts.

Tampa area wasn't too bad, just a lot of big trees down. I lost power about 11am on sun and it came back on around 6am this morning. all in all wasnt too bad thank god!!!! i dont know about the rest of florida people but this SHIT is getting really old. I had to wait 2 hours to get a table at the Tampa Ale House to watch the shitty ass Bucs game. atleast they had wings and crown royal so i could get drink while the bucs got their ass kicked.
You hit the nail on the head! Next week will be a good one though only because we get to see John Lynch make his return to Tampa. Should be a pretty emotional game for him. Did you get to hear what Sapp said when they asked him about being a Raider - was very nice of him to say about always being a Buc.

I'm thinking God has it out for something w/ Floorida . The storm this time was kinda eirrie , the winds were really cool at about 2:45 almost scarry over here on the Island , but we toughed it out to learn that all those times we left were a waste . Hunker down !!!!!!!!!!

I think he has been nothing but class since he has left Tampa. Never heard a bad word out of his mouth about the Bucs. Most people here dont like him but i think he is great. Extremley smart when it comes to football, he can just act like a dick off the field.
Just got power back a little while ago. But a lot of south tampa, and florida in general, is still without. Wasnt too bad, some scary gusts, but all in all pretty tame for a hurricane. Please Please let this be the last one. Hopefully Lisa stays on course to NOT make land fall.
geez. you guys and gals been hit with some shit this year. i hope everybody made it okay, and did not sustain too much damage. been wicked watching it from over here, i have been in a fucking 80mph wind storm, so i can not even fathom anything higher. and yes, that was hell.
