Noel Sanger:: Update:: October 2007
Fall is here, and looking back, Summer 2007 proved itself to be better than the highest of expectations could have predicted. Noel Sanger kept busy on the road and in the studio, hitting the four corners of the United States and numerous points in-between. The Solar Sessions Cruise made for a career highlight: 5 days aboard Royal Carribean's "Enchantment of the Seas", rocking the beats under the stars nightly with co-headliner Markus Schulz. DJ Support was expectedly rampant, with Paul Van Dyk dropping Noel's remix of Lustral "Because Of You" on Soundgarden and Vonyc Sessions for nearly two months straight, and Noel's remix of Sir Ivan "For What It's Worth" hit #13 on the Musicweek (UK) Coolcuts chart with notable spins from Tiesto on his internationally syndicated "Clublife" show as well as Judge Jules on BBC Radio One!
It's official: Dissident Music's first release will be available in the third week of October, with promos hitting the world's dancefloors immediately following the Dissident Music Official Label Launch Party will at Empire Ballroom in Las Vegas on October 5th. Dissident Music 001, "Delorean" by Matt Cerf and Shawn Mitiska is a punchy, bouncy, melodic brushed-aluminium slice of house with as much 80's influence as the title would suggest. Immediately in love with it, Noel signed it on first listen, and is putting the finishing touches on his remix even as you read this! More mixes are on the way closer to the holidays, and trust us, you will think they were delivered by Santa Claus himself. Dissident Music 002, Riders On The Storm" by Kenneth Thomas will drop in November, also featuring a remix from Noel himself as well as 2 others yet to be confirmed. The Dissident Music Launch Party, part of the Vegas Music Experience and Billboard Dance Summit is not to be missed, with sets from Air Hustlers (Kenneth Thomas/Noel Sanger), Andy Moor, and a Live PA from Cerf, Mitiska and Jaren.
On the production side, Here is a round-up of what Noel has going down:
Markus Schulz ft Dauby, "Perfect" is his collaboration with Noel Sanger from his Progression CD. The original mix has seen support from Armin Van Buuren and Paul Van Dyk, and now it's set to be released as the second single from the CD with remixes from Agnelli and Nelson and Jerome Isma-Ae.
* "Long Way Down" and "What Are You Looking For" will see release dates sometime around the start of 2008 on NYC's System Recordings, with remixers TBA.
*Noel has just wrapped up a remix of "Double Overhead" by Zach Roth of Core NYC for his new label Cloudbreak Recordings.
*Noel finally wrapped up production on his remix of Solar Session's Mastermind Jonathan Allyn's "Luminate", and it's been snapped up by Wildchild Recordings UK, the Trance offshoot of Baroque.
*Noel's "Nothing", on Curvve Recordings, is still getting tons of attention, thanks to Chicago up-n-comer Darin Epsilon, and his stunner of a remix released as a Beatport exclusive in September.
*A new remix for Curvve Recordings on the agenda for October.
*Noel is remixing both of the first two Dissident Music Releases in October.
*Collaborations with Victor Dinaire (XM/Worldspace/Music Choice) and OptionEscape are penciled in and expected to appear on Dissident in the new year.
*The long awaited follow-up to Air Hustlers' "Downtime" is due to be finished mid-month.
