Re: God
Well its more of explaining trignometry to someone learning subtraction...there isnt anything to discuss...the signs and proofs are there,,, in physics and chemistry,
its not about just beleiving its more of a connection that you feel once you start it, things get clearer and makes more sense signs become more obvious,,,in the beggining or end its a choice that everyone has to make and is responsible for it...so just chill to the next episode...
I think some of the points people need to say why you should beleive, even if you dont see signs or "proof" is basically faith. Without faith, obviously you wont beleive.
What do non-beleivers think about Miracles? Call it something else, what do you think of someone having cancer and then the cancer dissapearing? What is that if not a miracle? How can one explain it scientifically?.. just luck?
Or are all "miracle stories" simply bogus?
from the non-theist perspective, a miracle can simply be described as an unexpected fortunate turn of events. there are things that happen sometimes that we can't explain or predict. let's just leave it at that.
from the theist perspective, a miracle is an intervention of God. but for God to perform a miracle would require that somewhere God's plan went astray (or was wrong to begin with) and God has to set it right. but religions hold that God is infallible, so this is not possible. or, if God is everywhere, in and around everything, all-existing, all-knowing, and all-creating, there is no room for miracles.
if, instead, we say that miracles are demonstrations of God's power and are indeed part of his divine plan, then they are not in fact true miracles. furthermore, if God indeed be the all-powerful being that we describe it as, God would have no need to prove its existence to anyone through spectacle, but as simple divine revelation.Comment

Re: God
Some will say the basic ideas stemming from religious
philosophical backgrounds are the foundations for civilization,
whether you believe in a god or gods, almost wrote dogs, at least
you are free to choose in our virtual universe, another question
to be posed does god or gods exist in cyberspace?Originally posted by ShpiraSo came back last night...
Sven Vath was amazing...he played a god damn killer set...ended up going to that and came to at like 10 am in some whore house in south Amsterdam...no idea how I ended up there...friday was a bit of a blur got really drunk and visited several parties can't remember a whole lot to be honest hehe...saturday was probably the best day that I recall...started up in the nearest coffee shop and going from party to party...beautiful woman, beer and weed...finished the night by taking some shrooms and listening to an amazing elke kleijn set...sunday...i met a nice girl who worked at one of the coffee shops and ended up talking to her for like 6 hours...was supposed to meet her at some DnB party...but instead went for a steak and walked around red light district bars drinking and smoking...monday took it easy went to a coffee shop and took a taxi to airport....
All in all...I think I will be going back there some time soonOriginally posted by IlluminateLet me get this straight.
So white-middle class Americans have been told by their Television sets to be fearful of:
1. Mexicans/Latinos from the South bringing drugs and killings n' shit.
2. African Americans cause mos def they are raging a race war and want to occupy America like how the plebs occupied Wall St.
3. Iranians/Afghans/Any one of middle eastern origin to be quite frank, cause you know Islam...
4. North Koreans/Chinese cause you know everything...
