Re: digital audio format wars which is best?
I use 192 kbps AAC for ripping CDs to my iPod. It's my perfect balance between good filesizes and sound quality. Keep in mind that AAC in not widely supported yet by many players."There are three things I have learned never to discuss with people: religion, politics, and the Gr8 Pumpkin."Comment

Re: digital audio format wars which is best?
Although the best audio format is without a doubt, FLAC.
All the quality of WAV, but smaller files. Albeit slightly smaller file, but smaller none the less.
Every CD I buy goes straight into my drive, is ripped by EAC and encoded into FLAC compression level 8. The CD is put but into its case, filed into my CD rack and forgotten about. May sound strange but I am compusive about my CDs getting scratched. This way they don't have a chance to and I can listen to them in all their lossless glory.Comment
